1. Introduction
IXTLI TECH LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the OurLegalEye mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.
Users of the App (“Users”) may upload video files and other information through the OurLegalEye Platform for purposes including preserving potential evidence, documenting events, communicating with attorneys, and seeking legal advice or potential legal representation from attorneys authorized through the Platform. Users may include, but are not limited to, potential witnesses, individuals documenting events, First Amendment Auditors, Legal Observers, and other individuals seeking legal review or assistance.
User-uploaded content is accessible only to attorneys authorized by IXTLI TECH LLC through the OurLegalEye Platform. Users may only view their own uploaded content and may not access content submitted by other Users.
2. Information Collection and Use
We collect several types of information to provide and improve our App. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
Personal Data (All Users)
- Email address
- First and last name
- Phone number (including mobile number, if you opt in to SMS)
- Address (Street, State, ZIP/Postal code, City)
- Cookies and tracking data
Usage Data (All Users)
When accessing the App via a mobile device, we may collect certain information, including, but not limited to:
- Mobile device type
- Unique device ID
- IP address
- Operating system
- Browser type
- Diagnostic and performance data
Attorney Data (For Attorneys)
- Name and professional contact info
- Law firm or organization name (if applicable)
- Jurisdiction(s) of licensure
- Bar number
- Subscription type and payment details (Premium/Freemium)
3. Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to monitor activity on our App. Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser or device to refuse cookies. If you do not accept cookies, some features of the App may not function.
4. Use of Data
We use collected data for purposes including:
- Operating and maintaining our App
- Notifying Users and Attorneys about App updates
- Enabling interactive features and communication
- Providing customer and technical support
- Sending SMS messages you have opted in to receive
- Improving the App based on analytics
- Detecting and resolving technical or security issues
5. Data Retention
We retain Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, secure, develop, administer, and support the OurLegalEye Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, protect our legal rights, maintain business records, and for other legitimate business purposes permitted by applicable law.
OurLegalEye may retain Personal Data, uploaded content, usage information, and other information for periods longer than otherwise required by law where permitted for business, legal, research, operational, security, artificial intelligence, analytics, commercial, archival, or other lawful purposes.
OurLegalEye may use, license, disclose, transfer, share, or sell information as described in this Privacy Policy and as otherwise permitted by applicable law. Where applicable law provides Users with rights regarding the sale or sharing of Personal Data, OurLegalEye will honor those rights. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
6. Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to, and maintained on, servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to such transfer, processing, and storage in the U.S.
7. Disclosure of Data
We may disclose your Personal Data:
- To comply with a legal obligation
- To protect the legal rights or property of IXTLI TECH LLC
- To enforce and protect the rights of others
- To investigate potential misuse related to the App
- To protect user safety, integrity of the App, and the public
- In legal proceedings, regulatory requests, or to avoid legal liability
8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
9. Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies for hosting, analytics, billing, or other support. These service providers access data only to perform their tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated not to disclose or misuse the data.
10. Data Sharing with Attorneys (Users to Attorneys)
User-uploaded video files, Witness Information, communications, and other submitted materials are accessible only to attorneys authorized through OurLegalEye who have the appropriate level of Platform access. OurLegalEye is designed to facilitate confidential communications between Users and attorneys for purposes of evaluating potential legal matters, communicating with attorneys, and enabling Users to seek legal advice from attorneys authorized through the Platform.
By uploading any video content to OurLegalEye, Users:
- Intend to seek legal advice, legal assistance, or potential legal representation from attorneys authorized through the Platform;
- Understand and agree that communications and information submitted through the Platform are intended to be confidential and provided for the purposes of seeking legal counsel;
- Acknowledge that such communications are to be treated as privileged under applicable attorney-client privilege laws.
11. Attorney Use of User Data (Premium Accounts)
Attorneys agree to:
- Use User content only for legitimate legal review
- Maintain the confidentiality and privilege of all communications
- Refrain from sharing or using content outside the OurLegalEye system
- Comply with applicable ethics rules and bar requirements
12. Attorney Verification and Subscription Billing
OurLegalEye may verify an attorney’s bar credentials before granting Premium access. Attorney payment details are processed securely by third-party providers. We do not store full payment credentials on our servers.
13. Security of Data
We value your data security. We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, and modification, in compliance with applicable privacy laws. While no system is 100% secure, we employ industry-standard security protocols to minimize risk.
14. Links to Other Sites
Our App may contain links to third-party sites not operated by us. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites. Please review their privacy policies individually.
15. No Encouragement of Physical Intervention
OurLegalEye is a technology platform designed to assist Users in recording and preserving potential evidence, collecting witness information, and facilitating communication with attorneys. OurLegalEye does not encourage or require Users to physically intervene in any event, incident, confrontation, altercation, or emergency. Users who choose to take any action beyond recording or documenting events do so voluntarily and at their own risk. IXTLI TECH LLC is not liable for any injury, harm, death, property damage, or loss arising from such actions.
16. Legal Use Only
You agree to use OurLegalEye only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. You may not use the App to engage in, promote, or facilitate illegal activity, including but not limited to acts of violence, harassment, stalking, unauthorized surveillance, or recording in violation of privacy laws.
17. No Guarantee of Emergency Response
OurLegalEye is not an emergency response service. Users should contact local emergency services (such as calling 911) directly in any situation requiring urgent assistance. Uploading a video to OurLegalEye does not notify law enforcement or emergency responders.
18. Your Data Rights (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), all Users and Attorneys have the right to:
- Know what personal data we collect and why;
- Request access to and deletion of their data;
- Opt out of the sale of personal data.

19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IXTLI TECH LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of this Privacy Policy, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
20. SMS Program Terms
OurLegalEye (IXTLI TECH LLC) may send informational text messages about account activity, witness requests, evidence updates, attorney-related notifications, and customer support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Users opt in by checking an optional, unchecked SMS consent checkbox in the OurLegalEye app. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of using the App. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Mobile information and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS consent is optional. You can create an account, use the App, and (if you are an attorney) purchase a Premium subscription without opting in to text messages.
How users opt in
Users opt in to SMS inside the OurLegalEye mobile app. During account setup and in Settings, the App shows an optional SMS consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. Providing a phone number does not, by itself, enroll you in SMS. You opt in only by checking that box. The checkbox is separate from agreeing to these policies and is not required to use the App.

How to get help or opt out
Reply STOP to cancel. After you opt out, you will receive a confirmation and we will send no further SMS unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help. You can also email rchavez.ixtli@gmail.com.
SMS data sharing
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. All categories of sharing, licensing, transfer, or sale described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We may share Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, only with third parties that help us provide messaging services, such as platform providers, phone companies, and vendors who assist in delivering text messages.
